Basically what I got from reading about exhausts for G35 auto not going to FI it.


Motordyne and Stillen are best and highest price, best hp/tq gains

but the gains are not to giant over cheaper exhaust so you should choose based on sound. especially if your not FI your car or racing it. ALso dual exhaust > single pipe

since I live in Cali I cannot just add on test pipes for HP.

after looking at most of them and there sounds even the hks replicas, and considering price performance and looks I think this one sounds the best and is pretty cheap

For the $$ I suppose the HKS replica is a good deal and the guys at STATIK great. If I couldn't afford the authentic top of the line systems I'd keep the OE and spend my hard earned $$ elsewhere....Gary

 

Look like not a bad deal! 340 is pretty cheap. If the tips end up rusting, get new ones put on.

 

or buy a used in good condition Stillen from me..!

 

Why not keep exhaust and toss high flow cats on there instead? that way you know have a nice exhaust on there, or get some ART's depending where you are

 

Pfft, says who? Cali probably has the most amount of cars with test pipes than all the other states. I run ART pipes myself.

stillen is def not worth the price imo.

MD if you have lots of money to spare.

I have always liked FI exhausts personally, but I have been running an x02 for like 3-4 years now with no problems.

 

The exhaust is very loud. If you like loud, go for it.

 

When I bought the car the previous owner had an xo2 on it, sounded like a fart cannon off of a civic. Stock is so much nicer IMO. a full exhaust would be one of the last of my mods just because I like stock exhaust sound so much

all the youtube videos sound great just a deeper louder stock sound

just preferences likely. some people hate it, other likes it. although there are quite a few that will swear that they hate it solely because of it being a knockoff, with little more of an argument than that.
