Summit is the best place to get it, best price, they have it in stock, and ships out usually same day. I would get a transgo before doing HFC but make sure you figure out the install costs (I paid 450 plus the cost of fluids) involved and have a shop that you can trust to install it! Definitely don't want a shoddy install on a part like this.

You won't need a retune and no it doesn't give you more horsepower. It might feel like you have more though.
I ordered the kit two days ago, waiting for it to get here to get it installed.

so if I usually keep VDC ON, will my car be faster with this kit? Or will the engine cut power as "slip" flashes on the dash after shifts at WOT?

Huge question!! Do any 03-04 guys have one installed? Could you comment on downshifts? I'm scared my transmission might end up in the rear view mirror without the rev-match feature. I mean I wold blip the throttle of course, but I'm still worried on how it would feel. Thanks!!

It will be slightly quicker since it will shift faster. If your worried about traction than get better tires.

Under wide open throttle, the tires can break loose through the first 2 or 3 shifts. It helps even more if you get a 3.5 LSD rear center section. It runs like a raped ape now!
Which model transgo shift kit did you purchase?
