Need advice

hi, I am considering buying a 2004-2006 G35 coupe. I have about $15K to spend. How reliable are these cars? I saw one with 60K miles, is that too high? What else should I be looking out for, thanks!

Shop around, find the newest model with the least amount of mileage for what you have to spend. Get a CARFAX, you don't want a low mileage junkyard dog....just no accidents. If you get a MT or AT is up to you. Keep in mind '05+ with MT have re-up motors that have had issues with piston rings causing oil consumption and high $$ engine replacement....Good Luck!

You should be able to find a 2007 with miles for $15k, hopefully near you...

Miles are higher, but I prefer newer rather than older.

thanks... is bluetooth standard on these or does it come with premium package? also, i was going over a carfax report and found that there's been a recall on the 04/05 models, do you know if the factory covers it? not sure what exactly what was recalled, i can dig around and find that carfax. one more thing, what gets done on 60k maintenance? thank you all!

Google for maintenance, there are a few sites that show the entire life of the car and various levels of preventative.

Bluetooth comes with Premium. Also, it can't stream music, only talk. 2008+ G37 can stream music. You may want to fore go it and look into aftermarket Bluetooth kits if you want music.

my car has 187000 km and still runs great. as long as its regularily maintained it should be good. Just look for things like leaks, rust underneith, and loose parts like links and bushings

cool. looks like this car has a timing chain and not a belt. those should last long, right? i remember when i was buying a used lexus this was something to look out for (the 90k service should include a timing belt replacement on lexus GS models)
