Worth turbo-ing an automatic?

Long story short, my old car was an 6MT Audi S4. Loved the performance, the power, the handling everything was great BUT insanely unreliable. Traded it for an 05 G35 automatic (didnt want an auto but I had to get rid of the Audi). I love the G, I lowered it, bought wheels, debadged and I am happy with the looks but... I step on it and it just doesnt have the same pull obviously as the S4. Thinking about boosting but was wondering if anyone had an automatic and if it would be worth it at all?
Thanks for any advice!

Not sure if this means anything BUTT, back in the day I had an old VQ30 Maxima SE. I was in a group called www.maxima.org. One of the guys turboed an auto. max and spent over six grand on it. We met as a group on a Friday night and he tried to take on a 6spd. SE. he alomost took him on the takeoff twice but, he was seriously burned.

A boosted 5AT can still be fun. It costs more and the auto won't perform as reliably as the 6MT but that mainly depends on how you drive. Unless you track your car regularly, the car should be fine.

thanks for the advice guys I'll do some more research I just find this transmission to be a little sluggish in the manual mode so we'll have to see the costs of the conversion

The Transgo VB will fix that, search it. Expect to pay around $400-500 for installation. Osiris was supposedly able to manipulate the shifting response as well without the VB upgrade but not sure if thats tested yet.

Because the cool kids bought all of the 6MTs

OP several guys boost ATs with good results there is some good info on trans mods and power numbers if you do a little searching.

BigC, Ttrank, itinkicn, RCdash are a few off the top of my head.
