Open sunroof in rain, insurance claim?
Accidentally left my sunroof open and it rained that night (and of course it's the one time I park my car outside and not in the garage)
Tried dab drying, took out the floor mats, and even used Leatherique Rejuvinator and Cleaner when the seats became dry. I thought I was good. And my electronics weren't affected at all. (At least yet I suppose)
BUT... alas... the smell of mold came over me today and I'm wondering if I should make an insurance claim for this.
I've seen other people's comments about taking it to a detail shop but they come back saying how it's a temporary fix and wouldn't get rid of the mold problem and I've seen worst case scenarios when the insurance company would come back and tell the person that they're car is totalled. So I dunno really what to do next.
Any suggestions?

Had a similar thing happen to my old g35. I was carrying a bunch of stuff into work and accidentaly held down the unlock button and rolled down my windows all the way. Needless to say it rained all day and I didnt see they were down till I left work at night. I left my windows down all night, put the heater on blast in the house, and everything seemed to be alright (after dab drying initially). Also used some leather sealant the next day but didnt have much of a problem with anything after that. Best of luck.
