y pipe needed?

y pipe needed?

a buddy of mine told me not to get a ypipe and just install the new exhaust to the stock y pipe ..he said i dont need it and it really wont the car sound louder or make a diff in performance. is this true? or should i just buy the ypipe ?

what exhaust are you installing? and y pipe's directly affect performance. do it all at once, and do it right ! check out motordyne's y pipe.. also it would help if you said coupe or sedan haha

Your friend is somewhat correct, if you're looking for maximum rwhp then Motordynes y-pipe is the way to go. It depends on what exhaust you ordered, it's possible the performance y-pipe isn't needed and a waste of your $$....Gary
