y pipe

in reference to my past thread..its a coupe. the exhaust i have is the topspeed pro 1 3inch from ypipe back. my question was if i needed the performance ypipe or iit wont matter based on sound and power?

stop. making. threads. it's so unnecessary.

gary already told you there is a possibility - and a very good one if you got the MD XYZ pipe. with 2.5" piping to 3" merger, it will allow more flow, power, noise, whatever you're looking for compared the stock ~2.35" y pipe. if you want a cheap alternative, you can invest in the HR y pipe which has full 2.5" tubing.

Making a correction or adding to your previous thread is a better idea than making a new one. And you already have your answer, coupe or granny four door it doesn't matter. A OE y-pipe is just that, a restriction!
