Window Issues

I am looking at a 2004 G35 Coupe. The guy says he needs a new window regulator because when he puts the window down it doesnt roll smoothly on the track. Does that sound like a regulator isssue? I am new to Infiniti and coming from a Saab I have picked up a lot of technical experience. I'm not sure on this though. Any sugguestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian

window regulators going bad in g35 are a common problem, you can try to clean the carbon build up on the motor but its a 50/50 shot it will work...

When I first bought my 04 the drivers side window would roll smoothly til about the last 4 inches and then it would clunk and drop and sometimes would take awhile to roll up after, not sure if its the same kind of issue but i just bought a new motor for 130 bucks installed it myself and that fixed the problem
