I have a 5AT and whenever I start my car up and then shift to reverse or something after it hasn't been started for a while, the whole car jerks pretty hard. Also, there is a clicking sound when I drive off in D or reverse. I don't think it makes the noise in Neutral or Parked but I haven't tried it. It clicks several times when I gas it and stops when I start cruising. I am guessing it has something to do with my transmission. I searched some threads about the clicking noise and read that it may be the rear axles but what does that have to do with driving off and reversing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I got the dreaded axle clicking going on too.. i went to dealership and they told me that it was my rear subframe (the bushings were worn and due for replacement) but they wanted $3000 for the fix because they had to drop the subframe or some bs. anyways check your bushings and grease up those axles

 

Greasing up the axles should take care of this problem given that it is my axles?
