I thought it was being advertised for like 85k Euro or was it pounds in Germany? Either way it was too high for my dad. He wants to buy a fully loaded LS430 instead.

M5

The M5 will be right around 85k, a bit more than the E55 which starts at 80k. I think the LS430 is a better looking car than the M5, I'm personally not too fond of BMW's new design direction.

Easy, put my wife in the Z06, and I'll take a Civic. Easy win.

YEa, my dad wants the same thing. He thought about the M5, but he doesnt want a load of power, just something comfty and kind of quick. I say by June we should have of Lexus
and hopefully before that I will have my G35c

Just like us. We might wait a little later for the LS430 though. First, we had the G35c. It was a combo of decent combo of luxury and sportiness. But I just wanted raw sportiness, so we got the Z. My dad was bummed about the lack of luxury, but I told him if you want luxury, just get a real luxury car. Lexus LS430 is the embodiment of that word.

You're right I think because of the weight differences.

But the E55 beats it in other categories, like. Looks, class, luxury, name.

The Z06 runs 0-60 in 3.85 and the quarter in 12.45 at 118
The E55 runs 0-60 in 4.50 (conservatively) and runs in the 12.0-12.5 / 118 range in the quarter. Plus the E55 can take you and 3 other people with you. The Z06 is a great car but won't eat the E55 alive, it would be a good race. There are time slips posted of an E55 running a 12 sec. quarter with only drag radials and K&N filters, http://www.dragtimes.com/Mercedes-Benz-E55-AMG-Timeslip-4783.html

umm... this doesn't have anything to do with "Looks, class, luxury, name," just speed.

I personally loathe american cars but this Z06 even raised my eyebrows... Really have to hand it to them. Still doesn't hold a candle to the G in fit and finish and I still like the looks of the G better but that's not the argument.

Heck, I smoked a vette last week. 2 inches of ice on the roads. My x just zipped right around all those non-snow-driving southern fools wrapped around poles, or assoverelbows in the ditches.

You wouldn't believe the number of BMW's, and Lexi, and camaros stuck on a simple little hill. HEY, get a beater for the winter! 'Course these folks had big trucks and SUV's wrapped around trees too!
