Electronics are Haywire

My G35 has sat for about 5 months without a trickle charger I charged it for about 15-20 minutes and was able to start the car and drive around. However, none of the controls on the nav/stereo work, the remote start doesn't work, and the auto headlights will turn on but not turn off. Could it just be a bad battery for sitting for so long and need to be replaced or should I get a trickle and let it sit for a few hours? Worst case scenario could something have been shot? Thanks!
