my exhaust is louder on the left side??

hey i was just wondering if this was normal?? my exhaust is louder on the left side .... i took it to the AAA right by my house where they do car work and they told me it was fine... they said its how the pipe is set up , and that the air comes through the left side first while the other side is not a loud to balance everything out... is this true???

They are right, if you are not running a true dual exhaust setup, it will be slightly louder on the driver side since both banks of the engine are merged into one pipe that runs the length of the driver side before they split at the rear bumper.

I've always thought it was to allow the driver a louder note so he can enjoy that beautiful exhaust tone! Lol jk. I noticed this a long time ago too.
