A couple things that activated those lights on my dash:

TPMS missing on wheels DOES activate that light... putting them in would fix that one.

As for the other ones- I had slip / VDC / ABS on my dash when I pulled that fuse to solve another problem... Maybe it's just blown or also pulled? It'll be found in the fuse box on the passenger side under the battery cover. I don't remember exactly which one it was... but it's in there!

Well I just got back from Nissan. They pulled three codes from their scan C1913, C1109 and C1137. They said the connectors were corroded so they cleaned the plug and fixed a ground wire. They took it for a test drive and said that the lights were still on and told me that I have to take it to an Infiniti shop but the only issue is that it's 3 hours drive from me. So this visit already cost me $220 and didn't solve the problem.

Any insight?

C1109 = BATTERY VOLTAGE [ABNORMAL] - VDC/TCS/ABS control unit power voltage is too low.

C1137 = RAS CIRCUIT - RAS control unit malfunction

C1913 = (RAS) MOTOR_OUTPUT [ABNORMAL_SIG] (· a) - When the motor current value is 10A or more, actual output is excessively low and the condition continues for some time.

Based on those errors, it really sounds like you have some kind of wiring problem.

However, the two mods you posted may be affecting this as well. 1) Some exhausts don't fit cars with RAS, something might have been disconnected trying to get it to fit. I don't know about the Magnaflow specifically, just something for you to verify.

2) The wheels are most likely the main cause of your problem. Previous owner claims lights came on when he put new rims on = ding ding ding! Based on the tire sizes you posted, the rears are actually SMALLER than the front by 1%.

245 / 35-20 are 26.8 in diameter, 84.0 in circumference
275 / 30-20 are 26.5 in diameter, 83.2 in circumference

I would replace the fronts with 245 / 30 series tires (25.8 in dia, 81 in cir) and that will provide a 2.7% front to rear difference that the car is looking for.

I really appreciate the detailed post!!! Thanks for the great input on the description of the codes!

Blue Dream (Post #7) seemed to think the tires are ok. I also found 35 series on the front was strange since it's 30 in the back.

The treads as per Nissan inspections are 9/32 and has lots of life. I'm sure trying to find 2 30 series tires is going to be costly.

If you were in my shoes would you think those are the reasons for those codes? I currently have an 2004 jeep rubicon and it doesn't have close to enough codes it would throw.

I think Blue Dream made the same mistake I almost did and wrote down the diameters and assumed the larger number was the rear, I had to look twice. First step in the FSM for RAS troubleshooting is: "Is air pressure and size of tires proper?" I think the tires are most likely causing the VDC to go nuts, that would be my first step. Stock tire sizes (for 19") are a 2.4% stagger, so changing the front tires will be close to the stock ratio. Sucks that they're new, just the wrong size for this application.

I guess Nissan wants you to go to the Infiniti dealership because I don't think the Z was available with RAS, so they don't really know how to troubleshoot it.

Yeah I will give it a try and find a used pair? It wouldn't matter if I get a brand that's different than the rear right?

Think it will solve of all 3 errors or just the VDC?

Most of the RAS troubleshooting is checking the connectors and ground wire, and it sounds like Nissan did that for you, I think the proper tire size will fix the VDC, SLIP, and RAS errors.

I found someone selling 2 245/30/20 Continental Extreme Contacts with less than 300km on them for $200. I will see if I can get them cheaper.

I will get them installed and possible get the Tire Sensors from the original Ray rims put on to get rid of the Low Tire Pressure Warning also along with an alignment.

If that doesn't work then it must be the RAS unit.

Why don't people listen? Just take it to an Infiniti dealership. My closest dealership was 4 hrs away and i would make it a fun trip not just a car checkup. Otherwise you are just wasting your time and money plus you can have them give you a list of all the parts needed. Then you will be able to decide wether to purchase one at a time or all. Once again, just my opinion.

I called Infiniti and let them know the codes the car was throwing. He was going to check with his techs and give me a shout back but it's been 2 days without hearing anything.

I'm going to try the changing the front tires first to see if it clears the code. Hopefully, that would work but if it doesn't then i'll have to plan a trip to Infiniti.

I just got the front tires change to a 30 series and i'm still getting the VDC, Slip and Ras lights. If I don't get an ABS light does that mean my brakes are fine? I think the previous owner just changed a set of brake pads (not sure front or back). The car has 110k on it so it's probably ready for a rotor and pad change.

Quoted for Truth.

OP, you are playing problem whack a mole. The bad part is that you might never correct the issue doing what you are doing. Instead of throwing more money away and not fixing your issue, just take your car to Infiniti and get them to tell you where the problem is. It seems like you are getting ready to toss more money out on a possibly unrelated brake job. TAKE YOUR CAR TO INFINITI...

Just left the Infiniti dealership for a seat belt sensor recall and had them check out my vdc, slip and RAS. They said the whole RAS unit would need to be replaced for a cheap 7k just for parts not including labour. They said I was pretty screwed and mention go on forums to look for something to bypass the RAS to get rid of the lights.

Anyone heard of this bypass part?
