I heard someone from the dealer that they do it all the time for years. Not sure how the car is going to perform w/ that. If you don't care then go for it. but if you care about your car 91+

Alright today was the first time I pumped middle. Will get 91 from now on. I heard it lasts longer too and of course makes the car faster.

I wouldn't. I've tried and got crappy mileage and my car idled badly.

Mileage suffers so the savings disappear. But at 15 cents/litre savings for regular (that's over 60 cents a gallon, $9 tank)), you can't be blamed for trying . .

Computer senses lower octane and changes the timing and other things to compensate. Even at 20 cents a gallon difference between regular and high test, the amount would be $4 for 20 gallons. Here in the Northeast we have 93 octane.

Do you really only pay a premium of 20 cents/gallon for high test?

Right now it's $3.49/gallon for regular and $3.69/ gallon for premium(93 octane). This is in south Carolina. I think it's weird that some states don't have 93. Anyway, yea at a .20 cent savings, it's not even worth doing.

Lol yea sc is one of the lowest in the country. I live right on the border of nc and sc and even nc is like 30 cents more per gallon. I also get fuel perks through a local grocery store and usually get about 50 cents knocked off each gallon.
