Rear Tire Help

I recently put my car on the road for summer and need a new inspection.
As i checked the back tires before taking it in, i noticed they are shot.

I am running Dunlop Direzza DZ101
- They only lasted me 14,500 miles?????
and they are rated for 30K, alignment was decent and they wore fairly even,
I do not spin the tires, just average driving.

What have you had good luck with ? Also I do not want to spend $220+ a tire.

I usually go to this website for their prices and tire info.
http://www.tires-easy.com/
They give you all the UTQG system ratings and any other info you need.
http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.p...o=135&s_p=UTQG
Unfortunately some of the harder composite tires that will last longer will also have a harsher ride.
It's just a trade off ya gotta deal with.

Go to www.thetirerack.com and look for a tire with a UTQG of 300 in your price range. Need to mention, for what you intend to spend you may not find a "Great" tire....Gary

I am not looking to find a "great" tire, just need something to last more then 15K miles.

I did a bunch of searing last night and am currently leaning towards the yoko Avid ENVigor.

Gary: this tire has a UTQG of 560 a/a....is that better then the 300 or worse?

Caution....a tire with a 560 UTQG will last for a very long time but they're so hard it might disrupt your traction/stopping ability. Find a tire with close to a 300 rating, that should get you 30K miles of wear....Gary

well the dunlop direzza that i have been runnings are rated at 300 UTQG, and they wore evenly but only for 15K, i need a tire to last much longer then that.

anyone with good luck on a 300 UTQG tire??? or had better luck with their direzzas?
