i couldn't post under the wheel section, so ima post it here. i need 2 rear tires new or used to pass inspection by the end of this month. (245/45R18) they are the stock tires they came with the car. but i dont really car what brand tires they are i just need some new or used ones by the end of this month so i can pass inspection in june. i live in kennett sqaure, pa. i would rather keep it local but hit me up to see what you got.

 

An easy option would be to check the tire stores in your area for a pair of used tires to get you thru the inspection....shop around.

You can find a cheap set of tires at any tire store. 2 crappy tires should be inexpensive whether they're new or used.

 

What type of inspection requires stock tires?

 

It's probably more about wear than the tire size. Some states require a specific tread depth in order to be safe on the highway and pass the test....Gary

 

OP, check out bestusedtire.com. They're out of Allentown and are really cool to deal with. There's also L&M tire and wheel in Abbottstown. Both are good sources for used tires, just don't let L&M over charge you. They tend to think used = new sometimes.

 

If you're looking for used tires just hit up Craigslist or even the classifieds on the forums. I know lots of people that have done that in the past.
