Question Cost of 2005 6MT W/ PREMIUM|NAV|XM|AERO|ROSEWOOD|ALL MATS

Basically I am looking to find out what the BEST price I can expect to pay for a loaded 2005 6MT. I've seen the sites where they have MSRP vs. Dealer invoice but don't know how much the dealer will negoiate about price. I live in Maryland and there are a few dealers around. My first post, and hopefully a soon to be new owner of the 6MT.

oh, one more question ... what does everyone think about the rosewood trim?

Thanks in advance all

check if you are a VPP customer, then you'll get about 3K off MSRP. if not, you're stuck paying between 300 off and 200 over MSRP based on your location.

Yeah -- figures, I didn't know if rosewood was available with the 6MT or not .. I wish it was available, I think it has a nice warm look to it.

Anyone have any good reasons for choosing one of the sat providers over the other?

Tks

I got a deal!

I got $800 over factory invoice on a '05 6MT right here in MD. No problem.

XM has a bit more music, Sirius has more sports (including the NFL)

I chose Sirius cause the display on the G35 will scroll to show you the artist/title etc. I dont think it will on the XM and will cut off part of it. Also I wanted the NFL stations.

Again though, i might be wrong: XM may scroll too..

bottom line they are very similar and either would be good. Do a little research on what each offer and go with your gut feeling. The dealership should have brochures on both.

Dang, I feel like I got jipped now lol.

A couple weeks ago, I bought a new 04 6MT Twilight Blue/Graphite with the following options:

(P01) Premium Package
(U01) Navigation Package
(R01) Aero Package
(V93) Aero Kit w/o Rear Spoiler
(A92) Trunk Mat

MSRP is $38,760 with invoice at $35,427. I bought it for $35,975, only $548 over invoice. Seems like a few people are able to get 2005 models for just a few hundred dollars over invoice. Should've negotiated more with the salesman.

js.

WMT1BD - what dealership did you go to and do you remember the name of the guy that sold you the car? Sounds like you got a good deal and I would like to hit him up with your story if that's cool with you. Maybe you could send me some details - options you went with and actual cost? I would very much appreciate the info.

SUN35 - Thanx for the info on XM and SIRIUS .. I will get a couple brochures as suggested.

When I get home I will give you all the option costs and my excact total. But yes it is only $800 over. I told them as long as everything runs smoothly I will recommend them. Everything is running perfectly with a delivery date earlier than previously expected. If you check my previous posts I think I broke down the options in this forum somewhere.

It is really amazing the difference in price the '05's are selling for throughout the country. In some parts people can get them for as little as $100 over invoice, in other parts (like here in Oregon) you will have to pay the full MSRP. I think the main reason for the high prices here in Oregon is because there is only one dealership, so they are not affected by competition nearly as much as dealerships in other states. Here in Oregon, the dealership would rather lose a sale than take even one dollar off the MSRP of the '05's. Part of the reason I am posting this is to see if anyone was able to pay less than MSRP from the dealership here?

does anyone know what the invoice price is? I have searched the internet and can't find it. I am pricing out a 05 6mt with every premium, navi...pretty much every option.

You guys are lucky, I have a VPP number and SoCal dealers won't accept it and on top of that I found out that ALL dealers in SoCal called each other before the car came out and made a pact not to accept VPP on this car and to NOT charge a penny less than MSRP, like it or not. I am bummed, but it was MSRP fully loaded for me...the only way. Good luck with that.

Invoice on this car is about $4,000 (U.S.) less than MSRP configured on the infiniti website for a fully loaded.

Well, it just went up but as of just in December it was...
Base $30350
Aero 474
Nav 1805
PR1 (prem) 2112
SGD 152
TMA 58
Freight 590

Total 35541
Again this is old because it just went up a few hundred for freight and base price. But everything else should be the same.

Go to http://www.edmunds.com and click through the links for buying a new car, they will show the invoice price, the MSRP and the TMV (True Market Value, or what people are actually paying).
