Question about hubs and bearings

After driving with two different mechanics, i learned that both my rear hubs are bad. They hum pretty loud and my whole car is very noisy when im on the highway. Anyways, do i need to get just the hub replaced or do i have to also do the bearings? Where is the best place to get hubs since im assuming the dealership will over charge. Ive tried rock auto but just looking for other options.

Ps. Sorry if this has been covered, i tried searching but with no luck.

U can either buy the hubs for a lot or just the bearings for a little. I just get the bearings on ebay and had them pressed in at a shop. I removed the hub myself and brought them to a friends shop and borrowed his press. It wasnt that hard to do at all. There are a few right ups on here about it. For my fronts I just swapped out the entire hub assembly for a new one.

How long have you had the humming noise? Often times you can just replace the bearings. If you've been lazy and been driving on them for a long time, then they may have caused additional damage to the hub too. I was lazy on my last car and my relatively inexpensive fix became a $700 fix...
