relocating cruise controls?

Has anyone relocated their cruise controls to someplace other than the wheel? I would like a smaller wheel for the track, but still want cruise control for the highway.

jUST asked this question about an hour ago because I'm going to be doing the same thing. What I've learned is that the cruise control is basically just a 6 wire connection (2 for the 3 functions). You can build a simple switch set for on/off and set/reset and place it wherever you'd like. I have yet to actually explore that, but it sounds like solid info.

funny I must have skimmed over your post lol

Well I was thinking of taking the switch set out of the wheel and mounting it someplace as long as it has wires running to it inside the wheel that I can extend to bypass the steering wheel rotor. I havent taken the wheel apart to see if its wired or if its a big circuit board. Was hoping someone here has tackled this already. If you figure anything out lemme know and I'll do the same for you. Might be a little while before I try this though.
