Fair price on painting the Gialla lip?

Anyone know the fair price for painting a front lip at a body shop? Got quoted $200 and seems a bit steep for just a lip. Am i getting ripped a new one?

I got quoted 120 for a lip a while back. I'm in FL though and it was from a place that does mobile painting/refinishing.

The prices to paint parts will vary depending on where you go, the shop you take it to, quality of their work, etc. $200 for a lip isn't unreasonable but you could of course find it cheaper. If the shop does great work and the paint matches well, I'd say it's a good investment. You may find yourself repainting parts multiple times because the work was not done correctly.

In any case, shop around and know what you're spending your money on. Shops that stand behind their work will have no issues showing it off to you.

When I had a Gialla lip I was quoted $175 at first, after I was done laughing I called up a local place that said they'd do it for 80 bucks. They matched my DG perfect and did a great job. Just call around and look up reviews of the company.

Shop around, you'll be glad you did!

Some shops you go to will quote you high cause they can't be bothered with a small job like your grille. The body shop I generally have do my work wanted (are you sitting down) $1100= to paint my sides. Another shop 2 blocks away wanted $750= (getting better) found a shop thru DRIVER members and got it done for $350= quite a difference. When I ordered my Gialla grille from IONIC I asked Jose to paint it and the cost was very reasonable....Gary
