Oil shortage and overheating issues

Hey guys,

So I just got my car Back from the body shop, I took it back becAuse there were a few details they missed. But anyways my car started overheating and I found a radiator leak from one of the loose hoses so I figuered that was it but there was plenty of fluid in there. Come to find out I was missing almost 2 quarts of oil, the guy put 2 quarts of 10/40 in it, I had synthetic in it....... ( my father took he car to him, I had to work) will the mix affect my engine? I plan on doing a full tune up ASAP . Also what would be the reason I was missing the 2 quarts if i didn't have a leak? Could my front end accident have caused that? The hood they put on it is plastic btw, the car feels so much lighter. Thanks for your time!

The added non synthetic oil will not hurt the motor at all and you might have the infamous oil consumption problem....do a search on this.
