If you're looking to remove that I'd just use nylon fishing line. Readily available and pretty straight forward. You'd minimize the risk of damaging your paint. Googone for any leftover stuff, and you should be set!
Is the roof spoiler NOT attatched to the rear windshield? It should be right off of the roof, right? I mean, that's how MINE is. Paint damage shouldn't be an issue if we're talking actual car paint. If you're talking roof spoiler paint, a well placed spray hose (i.e. car wash..lol) could take the THAT paint off depending on how well is was done in the first place.
