Hello all g35driver members, today is not a very good day for me.... I been having this problem quit awhile but never got it checked because I thought it was normal (hopefully it is...). Anyways, almost everytime when I gas my car from 2nd to 3rd gear at about 3500rpm and I don't apply enough gas the car jerks, I know thats suppose to happen when you don't apply enough gas, but when it jerks it makes a loud bang noise below the car like a mount is broken? I don't know if thats normal or not but I took it into a local mechanic shop around my area and the owner told me that my tranny is dying. Just wondering if any of you have this kind of problem and is it normal.


btw I have a 2006 G35 coupe 6MT with 80k+ miles

 

Get motor and trans mounts checked

I have an 06 5AT and when im in sport shift it jerks from 2nd to 3rd under normal driving, but when im in regular auto everything is fine (also normal driving). I dont understand it at all haha.

 

haha that is wierd....but yeah its been bothering me anyone else have any idea?

 

when im in manual shift on my 5AT when i slow down to a stop it clunks to 1st gear, but doesnt do it when it is on auto

 

^ is it a loud clanking and only when cold?

2>3 clunk/banging/jerking is normal in Manual mode
