Hey I can help you guys! I found a way to eliminate the static shock when getting out. Before opening the door and getting out, take your infiniti key out of the ignition, then rub your thumb and index finger in the metal part of the key, then while still holding the metal part of the key, get out of the car. Sounds involved but its all just holding the metal while getting out.

I dont really know the mechnics of why it works, but it works. Havent been shocked since!

the easiest thing to do is to spray your carpets with static guard... this will definitely fix your problem

I get shocked too (currently) and I live in Florida. It has to be the weather. During summer, there is no shock at all.

Don't think it has anything to do with grounding within the car itself, but it does have to do with the ride grounding to earth.
You need to hang a small wire or grounding strap from the chassis to ground if this is a big issue. You could hide it under the car so it's not noticed.

If you live in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, or Utah you will get an "electric shock" when you touch metalic objects - that includes your G35. This is common in dessert regions in the winter when the air is dry. It's just static electricity.

To avoid getting "shocked" use your hips to close the door after you get out of the car. Clothing seems to be a bad conductor of electricity. That's what I do anyway. Hahaha!!!
