PLEASE HELP coolant consumption insane!
PLEASE HELP coolant consumption insane!
okay so i recently found out my car was running low on coolant so i refilled it and things were good for a couple days....3 days later i start smelling what smells like coolant and check the reservoir again and it was low at min again....i checked under vehicle no coolant leaks, never have left any puddles...
any idea what this could be?
also note that i did a bleed on the coolant system because from what i read i might have gotten an air bubble in the line

You can maintain the level of your overflow tank without being concerned about getting air in your radiator. No leaks and you're using radiator fluid? Check your tailpipe, should be totally dry....do you see any moisture/drips? If so you have a blown head gasket which needs to be fixed immediately!

The car does not overheat temp gauge is always normal
Followed the write up on here on how to bleed the system
Tail pipes are dry no moisture
I did notice it idle sometimes I can feel a jerk which wasn't there before only sometimes does it happen though

You need to run the car and go back to the tailpipe. Note if there is a white mist coming from it. Also smell the exhaust(from a safe position). If there is a sugary smell to the vapor, you're burning coolant. That would be head gasket.
Also while it's running, open the hood and look around the overflow bottle, the upper and lower radiator hoses, and the base of the radiator. While running, the coolant system is under pressure. If there is a leak up front, it should become evident while running.

thanks guy i was at school and had a friend inspect more thorough, we found there was a leak on the radiator seam and for now i added some sealant and have already started looking for a replacement radiator.
