JDM steering wheel swap

It's basically like what k67p67 said:
I had my friend whom I bought the airbag from do it for me; it was installed also installed on his car. The installation appeared to be really easy based on my observation of the whole process (he did everything). Also his car's an '04 and mine's an '06 so I don't believe there would be any issues since yours is an '03.
If you're scared or just not confident enough to take it on then just take it to a shop. I've had one shop tell me that they'd have to take EVERYTHING apart which isn't true.
On the sides of your steering wheel there are two screws (not normal ones; they require that T-30 security bit mentioned in the quote). Once those are out and the plugs are disconnected then the airbag should slide right out. You basically just have to reverse the steps in order to install it.
It's an easy job. You can definitely handle it by yourself. Be sure to disconnect the negative battery terminal first. Need to get a Torx T-30 Security bit (not a regular Torx bit). A few flat head screwdrivers are handy to keep the tabs apart while you try and separate the cover from the module. You'll know what I mean when you see it. Also, be careful disconnecting the plugs so that you don't break them.
