SC430 vs. G35

A fully loaded new G35, with tip, tax & title, is out the dealer's door in the low $40K range. This is pushing the envelope close to maybe a used 2002 Lexus SC420 with 25,000 miles. Did anyone here consider a used SC430 as an G35 alternative? What went through your mind...?

I didn't consider it myself, but a friend of mine did. When it comes down to it, ur prolly better off getting a new car although Lexus is amazing when it comes to reliability. The G will probably be a little sportier too cause Lexus's are built more for smoothness and comfort where the G will be rougher and more sporty. The other thing is that the SC430 gives off more of an older person vibe where as the G gives off the sporty vibe in my opinion.

The V-8 and the interior of the SC is attractive, but I've not read anything ourstanding as far as sportiness, road feel, and general 'connectivity' of the Toy.
Nice ride but I prefer the G's attributes more.

I actually like the SC430 a lot. I never did understand why Lexus stopped making them.

Forbes voted the infiniti g35 as the best coupe under 60K.... Yes that includes the sc430 and the infamous dare i say "m3". Go figure... But i like my g35 more.. i think the g35 is a little more faster and suit my style more.. I dont feel old enough to drive a sc430... g35 will attract you chicks... sc430 will probably attract u even more chicks, but most of them will probably be golddiggers... LoL.

My thoughts exactly. I know two people who own them....both in their 50s. Nothing against them....but that is the way I see the car now....for the older crowd.

drove both before I bought; took the G over the SC. The SC is a more old man's car. It did turn more heads when I drove it down the street.

Just buy the G, mod the heck out of it with the difference you will save in not buying the SC.
