i got a hks rep i was thinking about putting an x pipe for better low end power has any one installed the magnaflow tru x pipe ?? or got a x pipe made f?? my exhaust shop quoated me 70 flat for making 1 and installing it. right now i dont have rasp or too much drone just dont want to gain rasp or anything

 

The only reason we installed X-Pipes in our authentic HKS exhaust systems was because of the restriction in the crossover which you don't have. Save your $$ there's no reason to waste it on your knockoff....Gary

 

Don't get me wrong the true hks exhaust system is awesome! For the budget minded G owner looking for a different sound the hks knock off is a great deal. Out of the box most kits need tweeked to get proper fitment and if you have a spacer, CAI, or test pipes they get really raspy imo. I have the hks knock off and I welded in magnaflow's resonated x-pipe (part number 11386) and it toned it down a lot. I love the way mine sounds now and people are always gonna talk down upon this exhaust but besides headers I have a full stainless true dual exhaust system for $570.

 

Wrong the rep has terrible rasp and drone, I added it to mine and sounds way better. Anyone looking for a used one PM me as I dont have enough posts to put in classifieds.

 

cutting out the H-pipe and resonators on the HKS replica is a big section of the exhaust. if the x-pipe mod is done.... will there need to be an extension welded on also? or is the 20 inches from the magnaflow x-pipe enough?
