My G didn't start!!! Has this happened to anybody?

After work I tried to start my car, but it wouldn't turn over. I tried 3 times holding the key in the start position for about 4-6 seconds. On the 4th time it finally turned over and started. What the hell, I just bought this car 8 months ago, it's not supposed to do this shyte! It's all stock, and never had any problems before. Has this happened to anybody else, and do you think I should take it into the dealer to get checked?

G's up...

Maybe you flooded the engine? I don't know... Once, about half a year ago, my G wouldn't start for the life of me. However, when I turned the key all the way back to off, (instead of just run),and then turn it to run, and let the fuel pump prime, it started right up.. Hmmmm... Granted it was hot that day, but not super hot....

The TL guys are worse. Acura is just claiming that they're having starting problems because the engine is ULEV, so it's "hard to start". That's such crap...

not turning over would be starter or battery. turning over but not firing would be NVIS chip or fuel issues.

I've noticed mine pausing for a split second before turning over. must be battery or starter solenoid. @ 17K. not cool..

I had it happen twice in 2 years. Both when it was fairly new. I figured it was some cheap gas. It hasn't happened since.

i had that happen to me too. I get that problem when i drive aggresively. For example, if i drive 90 on the freeway for 30 mins., shut the engine and try to restart. Sometimes it won't. So i took it back to the dealer and had them check it. They said it was the throttle. There's a tsb for that. I got it changed, and it has happened once even with a new throttle. I don't know what it is. but its pissing me off.

I think what I meant to say, was the car turns over, but won't turn on. It sounds like it wants to start, but nothing happens. Has anybody else taken their's to the dealer? Also, what does "tsb" mean? One more thing...It's a new fackin car!!! Why would it do this? My 97 Accord never once did this to me!

G's up...

Technical Service Bulletin

When Infiniti posts a TSB up, you can get that service for free. Under warranty of course.

Don't get me started on Honda. I could go on with all my gripes about my wife's TL, and her problems when her car had less then 20 miles on the odometer.
