DONE!!! - Project Car: Volk GT-7, KenStyle, Lambo Yellow MORE PICS
Well….ALMOST!!!!
I’ve made a few small changes to my baby
Here are pics of the car as it progressed. This project took over 3 months to complete.
Many shades of yellow were considered. Lotus Saffron Yellow, Porsche Speed Yellow, Honda Rio Yellow Pearl, Audi Imola Yellow, Corvette Millenium Yellow, as well as Nissan Ultra Yellow were all considered. The decision was finally made to go with Lamborghini Giallo Orion Yellow. One because of the exclusivity of the Lamborghini name and two because of Chris’ (mazzoo on my350z.com) many 350Z photos of his Lambo Yellow 350Z. Below was the picture that finalized my decision:
A request for photoshop was then made to fellow members, and Wrah stepped up to give me a general idea of what I was looking for. A complete picture of the concept vehicle was then put together by illestjrz back when all I had was an idea.
Further along in the project, the bodykit and wheels arrived.
The first shot of base coat was put on the the front fenders.
And later the rear section of the car as well as underneath the trunk and hood were shot with base coat, pearl coat, and clear coat.
This car was designed to be a DAILY DRIVEN, SHOW CAR. It will debut at Japantown in Northern California on Jan 23rd. It’s SoCal debut will take place in Chinatown on Feb 13th.
Future mods include a custom clear bra by Jeremy Gomez from Invisiguard ( invisiguard@sbcglobal.net ) as well as an audio/video set-up to match the bold new look.
Thanks goes out to Yuichi Kurosawa from KurumaZ for getting me into SEMA 2004 to do some product research as well as getting me a few small parts, the members of the Golden Gate G35 Club for their support as well as members from all the G35/350Z forums for their ideas and feedback.
The credit for the awesome paint job goes to Phil Weaver, Jr and his crew over at Image Autobody in South San Francisco. If you are in the Bay Area and need a paint job, bodywork, or a bodykit installed, these are your guys.
The project car is currently being sponsored by MMI Industries ™®© (Me, Myself, and I). If individuals or companies would like me to promote their product, please contact me at vphan17@hotmail.com
Since this is my first show car, 2005 will be a fun and exciting season. If you guys see this car, please stop by and say hi. And if you see anyone messing with this car, please help a brother out and call the cops
Below is a preview of pics I took while the car was in the booth today. Didn’t have my camera, so you’ll have to enjoy the camera phone pics for now. I’m stopping by the shop again tomorrow and will snap some more in-progress pics.
Final Pictures will be posted on or before 01/22/2005

I'm glad WRAH did something good for a change J/K.....
Your car is coming along nicely......I think you made a good color choice as well.....The lambo paint is stunning, it looks alot more "pearl" than my stock ivory pearl....
Best of luck with your project......make us proud and bring home some trophies!
