Problems after installing cold air intake!

so i put an AEM cold air intake on my 03 MT and now its stalling out. also it seems like its having problems accelerating. whats going on! i need my car for a trip on wednesday is this problem hard to fix

Make sure the vacuum hose and MAF are connected and that you didn't install the MAF backwards. Did you mess with the throttle body at all?

what do mean by the MAF being installed on backwards? the MAF sensor is that black little that connects to the intake right? and no i didnt but what would i be looking for it the throttle body did get messed with?

Yes, the MAF is the black sensor that goes in the middle of your CAI. It is possible to install it backwards which will mess everything up, there's an arrow imprinted on the side of it pointing in the direction of air flow (should be pointing towards the back of the engine). The throttle body's settings are contained within, if you moved the butterfly/plate without disconnecting the plug or battery first then you will have to do the relearn procedure for it.

Just do what herrschaft mentioned....^....reinstall and make sure everything is connected. When you installed the MAF sensor did the intake require you're removing it? You know there's a right & wrong way to install the MAF sensor or is it loose, take another look....Gary
