Alright I looked and looked through a lot of threads to find an answer so if this is an existing thread please bear with me. I have a 2003 g35 coupe 6mt and lately sometimes prior to start up the brake petal is solid and the brakes cannot be applied. I have been getting around this with the e-brake, but i'm wondering if this is something to be concerned about. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!

 

I am starting to have the same issue with my 04. You can apply the brakes if you push hard enough. I have not had a mechanic look at it yet, but from what I have read it is probably a slow vacuum leak in the master cylinder. When you start the car it immediately rebuilds the vacuum in the brake booster thing and all is good.,,for now. I am sure we will be replacing parts somewhat soon.

 

i have the same issue. ive done the brake test in the fsm and all checks out. im not too worried as long as the brakes work when the cars on.
