If you seat stops going back and forth try this!

Last night I drop something into the black hole that is the spot between the seat and center console. So I move the seat forward to retrieve my item that I thought was gone forever, and then it happens after moving the seat all the way forward it won't go back and i'm 6' 2" on my way to a night out on the town driving with my face and body on top of the steering wheel. Well the rest of the seat controls worked would tilt and go up and down so I assume it's not a fuse. Do some google searching on my phone and seeing nightmare posts online about $900 fixes. So I go home and unbolt the seat and remove the front plastic and see nothing blocking the tracks. So I tried the old starter wont let the car start trick go bang the crap out of the front motor(there is 2 under the seat) and one of the most glorious things happens the seat starts to go back ad forth again!

TLDR if seat quits going back and forth unbolt seat, remove bottom plastic cover, bang the **** out of the motor in the front and hopefully PROFIT

That has to be the stupidest advice I have ever heard. Yes banging on a motor will get it work the best way possible. You must be an engineer...

Acutally banging an electrical motor is a great trick. Motor's that acquire brushes tend to build up dust from brush wear inside and can cause a motor to seize until you tap it loosening up the brushes.
