my brakes does a "jutter" on a few occasions as i try to stop. I know i need to replace my pads, but could it be something else?

When you have your pads replaced have them check your rotors they may be slightly warped which can be corrected by turning them. Do you feel the jutter in the pedal or steering wheel?

If it is only happening when you stop it might be the rotors.

When you change your pads take the rotors to your local auto parts store for inspection. May need new ones if they are worn out. If you just slap on new pads it may be alright for awhile but the warped rotors will wear your pads uneven and start the vibration again.
