Thanks for the advice everyone. I went out to the garage today and did some more work to the Datsun. It looks like i'm going to make it my fast weekend car after all. I am in a shitty phase of the project though. The body is primered and I am using body filler on places that aren't perfectly smooth. I'd like to get her finished up before winter. Right now it has a L28E motor from a 280z. I don't know which route i'm going to go with that, but time will tell i'm sure.

I reckon a V8 is the way to go for the 240z, as Jay's is the best 240z I've seen to date. I guess make it your own, but you can sure get some inspiration from this.

That thing looks nasty, but I am going to keep mine more on the stock interior side though. I dig the wood steering wheel and shift **** and the overall 70s feel. I need to get it restored before I start considering a power plant.

I decided on these wheels (Work VS-XX probably 19x10.5 or 11):

and this color (Deep Lilac from House of Kolor)

I love everything about this car and I'm going to make mine simliar as far as the wheel flares, blacked out chrome. I don't think i'm going to shave the door handles though, that seems like a pain in the ***. The G35 Dilemma-y3tmq.jpg

This is turning into a Z thread.. haha

I don't think you'll hit 600+ hp without making major changes everywhere. Big $$$. I personally don't think this is the platform you want to build up to 600+. The G is a beautiful car and I love it, but there are other cars you'll get better numbers more easily out of (at less cost).
