Did you know.....

On the keyless entry remote, hold down the open door button for about 5 to 8 seconds....all the windows will roll down.

When you go to pump gas.....the doors lock. This I confirmed twice cuz I was not sure if I had something to do with it. But...after unlocking all doors and pumping gas...I went to enter the car and the doors were locked.

You all probably knew this already but those new to the G, just a little info.

Windows doi!!! The doors auto lock when you open them ( to get the gas tank open ) and dont open a door, security ish. KT Tech mod allows you to roll the windows up by pressing the lock button twice, it also locks the doors when you drive

When you go pump gas the car doors lock? If you leave the key in the ignition and in the off state?
So how do you get back in?

usually people remove the keys when they get gas. if the keys were in there, there is no way the doors will automatically lock. that would just be stupid of infiniti. lol

I have never found the coupe to re-lock itself after unlocking. My Acura did that and so does my Explorer but not the coupe. I have also never witnessed this locking feature while pumping gas but I live in NJ where you don't pump your own!

I'll research this some more but I am quite sure the doors locked while I was pumping gas (keys in my pocket). I agree....what if I left the keys on the dash....I'll be SOL.

Yes, if I turn my car off, take out the keys, begin to fill up the gas the doors do lock. I have to unlock the car iwth my keys to get back in. This seems to be some sort of security measure (I'm not sure why) but either way I always take my keys out with me anyways when I fill up the gas. I'm not sure what happens if the key is still in the ignition though.

OK LISTEN UP!!! Walk up to your coupe, unlock the door, dont open them, within 30 seconds the doors will auto lock. What's happening is you getting out of your coupe with your doors locked, open the door, then unlocking the doors so you can get to your gas cap, if you dont open the door's again within 30 seconds, the doors will lock. Best thing to do when you get gas, unlock from the inside. www.kptechnologies.com for more info on the Windows Up Mod.

Couldn't have said it better...for the original poster, you just did a few things reversed, but this isnt an added feature or anything.

I take the keys with me when pumping gas, but the doors do not lock. Is this a new 'feature' for 05?
