Think of it as "quickness" training!
If your leg lingers... it won't a second time!
But truthfully, my Wife complains the doors ARE heaver than her Acura CL-S.
Hopefully the weight, translates into increased safety!

i think our door feels heavy closing cause the arm that we use to pull it close is like in the center of the door and not closer to the back which would make it a lot easier to close
when my windows are down and i close the door near the back its waaay easier

I usually open the door a little bit and then push from the back.

See all this trouble because of our heavy doors haha
We all need to complain to Nissan Corp so they could improve it for 06 haha...maybe make the handles slightly more to the end or shift the weight somehow.

Think about this, if you come back to your car with a burglar robbing your car with his leg sticking out of the car, he'll be sorry that he tried to steal from you.... What if his head was there? Ouch

The doors are probrably a little heavier because they are bigger, but not but a significant difference. The difference is in the angle from which you are pushing the dor. The seating position of most in the G is toward the center of the door. The center position for most in a Z is closer to the back of the door. You have better leverage in the Z.

when replacing the window motors I noticed how lighter the door was compared to when the motor was inside the door panel. it's the window motor

For everyinebgetting their legs chopped, its cause of ur worn position stops.

Lol. I'm sure the window motor doesn't account for nearly much weight. Nice 8 year old thread though.

I don't have the part number, but their called check links. You will have to remove the door trim panels to replace them. Two screws in the door one to the body.
