Cleaning leather seats...

Hi,

I'm wondering what everyone uses to clean their leather seats? I have black leather in my G coupe and the white Infiniti embroidery (I'm assuming it came white, but I bought my car used so I'm unsure) which used to be white is now kind of dark. Has anyone tried to clean/whiten that thread up? If so, what kind of products work well?

Thanks!
Alvin

Leatherique.

Also, I believe the stitching is gray rather than white. A mild all purpose cleaner will clean it.

I have yet to try Chemical Guys, but have read/heard nothing but good about their stuff.

Leatherique and Leather Master are the two companies with the best reputations. They specialize in leather care products only. Go to their respective websites and read their product info.

For the stitching you'll need a mild cleaner along with a horse or leather brush. Just agitate it and then wipe away the cleaner with a clean towel. The dye might fade slightly from the leather but just clean the entire seat thoroughly and it will blend. I've done this with my car several times.

Cleaner and conditioner...no particular brand. It keeps the leather so nice...dont use soap and water,it will dry the seat out after awhile

I tried Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner on my stone colored seats. It didn't do much cleaning. Ended up using Fast Orange hand cleaner with Pumice. Lightly rubbed and the seats were instantly clean...even the little crevasses. Followed that up with a damp towel, dried, then used my Lexol Conditioner.

It may not be recommended, but it actually worked.
