Brake pressure issue help

Hey guys, just a quick question hope someone can help me out.
Today I replaced my rotors and brake pads with some after market drilled and slotted rotors. Everything went fine with the install. My buddy that though he knew it all took the calipers apart rather than unscrewing the to bolts on the back side so we bled all the brakes after the install. But now when I drive around, when I press the brake pedal in, it goes to the ground. I release the pedal then press it again and then the brakes start to catch and my car stop amazing. And it happens every time. I think the seals on the calipers may be leaking a little bit but its obviously not keeping pressure or something. Does any one have any ideas what I could have done wrong or not do?
Thanks,
John
