Hi,

Recently purchased a used 07 coupe and in the glove box there's a small rectangle-ish piece of plastic (it's black). Has a push-tab type of mechanism on the back.

Quite small, I'd say about 5" by 3".

It wasn't attached to anything, was just sort of sitting in the glove box.

Sorry, don't have pics at the moment.

Any ideas what it is? Almost feels like an ashtray cover of sorts but it doesn't fit on anything. Driving me insane!

I think it's the flux capacitor.

Might have to post a picture, but it coud be the cover for the in cabin air filter that goes behind the glove box.

 

HAHAAH burn, but I dont know what that button does I wondered the same thing.

 

I know what piece you're talking about. I'm not sure it has a function, though.

could be the license plate tow hook cover. post apic. mine was left in the glove box too and i didnt know wat it was and posted it here lol

you'd think people whould instantly realize what it was if it was the same color as their car....tow hook cover isn't 5" x 3" though
