YAY! Getting a G35!

Okay so, I'm super stoked to say I'm joining the G club. Thanks for having me.

I'm going to purchase my (used) G35 from a dealership here in the next couple months.

Story is: Grabbing one from a dealer because I know it's easier to get financed through and I'm having my lady co-sign with her maxed out credit score. Private sales have a much better deal with much better mileage but we've had bad luck getting loans from banks in the past with me as the main signer. Anyway we decided to do it this way so that I can start building credit!

Do you guys have any tips / info for me going into the dealership? Good Haggling methods? What to look for on the G?

ANY advice is appreciated. Thanks so much ahead of time.

EDIT***** Oh wow forgot to mention, looking at 04-06's...

Buying a used G35 this is my best advice, buy the newest model you can afford with the least amount of miles. Service records are a major plus along with it having been kept in the garage....don't forget a CARFAX!

My tip: Negotiate for lowest OTD price and not lowest monthly payments.

Last time I bought a new vehicle I got it OTD cheaper than even retail price, with a $1000 in extras....lot of bargaining tactic involved.

Going to a dealer for no other reason than because those are the only ones you can get money from may not be the best strategy- looking at your initial post. Why g35? Anyway I know this isn't g35finance.com... But I'd take a hard look at it. Guys who love their cars love them a lot but not worth going bankrupt over.

Should be loads of 6mts with new engines now- so might be worth asking about. There were some oil consumption issues between 05-07 I think it was. Window motors are coom problems/ clicking rear axle... Read through tech forum and get a feel for what guys are talking about.
