Gear shifter rattles.. HELP please

when I accelerate pretty hard, I always hear this rattling sound on the gear shifter (6MT), especially from 3500 RPM and above.
does anyone has this kind of problem?

it's not a problem, it's perfectly normal.

Mine doesn't rattle, but does vibrate a lot. Vibration is normal.

If the stock shifter rattles, I believe the dealer will replace it? I know that is the case with the 350Z cause my buddy had his replaced under warranty due to rattling!

I spoke to a Nissan service advisor, and in his words, the inherent shifter rattling is do to the design. There is not a conventional shift linkage as in most cars, rather, the shifter drops directly into the transmission, so you have a direct connect, and no joints to absorb vibration (or sloppy up your shifting). I haven't spent enough time under the car to verify this for myself, so this is word of mouth, although the explanation seems to make sense.

no its' not the vibration.. i know that the shift **** vibrates alot.. but because of that vibration, especially at high RPMs (3500 or above), the shift **** makes a rattling sound.

I'd pull the console section and take a look if anything has worked itself loose. Some connecting bolts or other items may be what's making the rattling sound.

mine does the same, and twice now when its been really cold at 4000 rpm + i get a really loud rattle, can't tell where its coming from though. its some where up front. once its had time to warm up (30 minutes or so) it goes away...
