You are very lucky that you live in OR, due to not having to pay for tax. You do pay more for titling the car versus in CA..hehe. It's like $50 more, I know this cause I work with titles at my job. Other then that, you have a fairly good deal using VPP. GRUBBS in TX would of shipped it for free as well, using VPP. The VPP price for the vehicle you have been approx $36,500, so if you add on the clear bra, its close to $37K. Your just saving big time because of the no tax deal. Wellz good luck with your car.
Thanks =) You're right, there are different levels of VPP. I got the lowest one, since I'm not an employee.

I considered Grubbs, but they would've made me wait 'till the middle of next month for the car...I already had an order someplace else, so I stuck with it. (the guy was very cool and easy to deal with as well).

SDHSD..........Hey, I'm actually going to talk to Noelle tomorrow morning. I will say hi for you, Sarah right? I'm gonna mention that I read it on a G forum...hehe. Yeah, I'm picking up my car tomorrow and she is doing the VPP stuff for me and everything else. She seem sweet on the phone when she called me this morning, hope she is sweeter in person . Wellz, thanks for letting me know that they provide good service, I'm looking forward to that. She really gave you a good deal for, saying that your not using VPP and all. Wellz, wish me luck tomorrow, for I will be a happy man!!!!

WUNATICA, Noelle was a great person to deal with. We had some questions about registering a CA purchased car in WA but she was diligent and gracious in her help. Yes, please say hello and that you read positive comments about her on this site. The more business we send good dealers, the more they'll offer us good pricing and service in return. And I'm really excited for you about picking up your G tomorrow! Have fun and post some photos, please! Are we lucky or what? Life is very good!!

SDHSD......

I went to get my car yesterday. I got to meet Noelle, she was very nice. When she was giving me the VPP documents to sign for, thats when I mentioned about you . I asked " Do you know of girl named Sarah for WA?", it didn't hit her at first, til I got more detailed about how she gave you a good deal on a 05 auto coupe. Thats when both her and Theresa (she was the sales person that I was dealing with) both smiled and seem very shocked that I mentioned about it....then Noelle said "Oh yeah, her, wow, how do you know her?" I said, oh, I saw one of her post on this forum that we both go too, and she was talking how great you were with her purchase." You should of seen the look on both of their faces, it was full of joy..hehe. Anyways, I told her that you said "HI", and they wanted to say "HI" back to you too.

Wellz, other then that, I will post my pics tomorrow if I have a chance, if not soon =) BTW, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!

WUNAUTICA, thanks for positive feedback to Pleasanton Infiniti!

Fantastic in providing such immediate and positive feedback to Pleasanton Infiniti, Wunautica!!!! I'll bet Theresa and Noelle were absolutely shocked to receive such immediate dealership feedback from a Washingtonian via a Californian. My G STILL isn't here! I'll not use A-1 Auto Transport again. Two weeks to get a car from N CA to Seattle is one week to many. Congratulations on your new car. Post us some photos, please, and enjoy!! Sarah

Hmm..not sure if I'm using A-1 Auto Transport or not, but my G is supposed to ship from Riverside, CA to Bend, OR starting today (Mon. the 24th). Let's see if there's a pattern here...I'm *told* that it'll be here about 2 days from when it gets picked up. (mon~wed, tues~thurs, etc). If I don't have it by Fri., I'd consider it another black mark.

When you mention 1.65% off, is that off MSRP or Invoice?

For a good estimate on current prices, see www.carsdirect.com

They list MSRP, invoice, and their negotiated rates with dealers. You can get their price with no negotiation by getting a referral from them, and that's usually under MSRP. They also have a "price guarantee." My guess is that dealers pay them a small amount for the referrals, so I would think if you went directly to a dealer with the carsdirect price in hand you could get slightly less than the carsdirect price. I helped a friend buy his Acura TSX this way and we got it for less than the carsdirect price.

For my zip in Orange County, CA, carsdirect shows the following for the G:

Base 6MT coupe going for $200 under MSRP
Base AT coupe going for $1000 under MSRP
Base 6MT sedan going for $1800 under MSRP
Base AT sedan going for $1800 under MSRP

Edmunds.com has a similar feature.

My origional post:

Wow... I feel for you guys!

If you are a Sam's Club member, and deal with the Fleet Sales Manager, I know of one dealership in Phoenix that will sell you ANY Infiniti (including a 05' 6mts coupe) at $300 over invoice. Thats right $300 over invoice!

The guy who just got his 05' auto coupe in Pleasanton for $36,500 could have got his car for $34,800. How can I state that? Thats how much I paid for ours.

I am not employed by this dealership I just think if I am able to save someone some hard earned cash I should share this information.

Drop me a PM if you need more info.

Actually this dealership will sell you ANY Infiniti (year, model, and make) for $300 over invoice. Including the 05 6MT Coupe.

It's known socal dealers are jackasses. BMW of SM still wants 5k on a M3 and extra 10k on the M3 ZCP. Right! Too bad everyone down here likes to wear or wrap their bank account on them. If I want to buy a car in LA I'd go online order the car and have them ship it here. I am sure it will still be cheaper

East Coast people please don't post because I know the prices out there are much more flexible (but post if you paid sticker too). I just feel like I may have gotten jipped although I don't mind paying full price because it's alot of car for what I get and compared to the other cars I was looking at (330Ci & M3), the G35 has alot of standard features you have to pay for on a BMW...

Anyone wanna make me feel better for what I paid on the west coast?

I also have a theory that in snowy areas the car is cheaper because of the nightmare it is to handle on the roads during the winter which would explain why Cali would be a hot spot for the G...anyone else validate this?
Depends. I'm using a VPP and getting a LS 6MT coupe with navi, prem, splash, sirius for a couple hundred under invoice (approx $235 below). This is all before taxes, of course.

What company/employer are you getting your VPP discount from?
