Sorry, i know this is probably posted somewhere before but i needed to know the answer ASAP.

Can the replacement be done at Nissan too or it must be done only at Infiniti dealership? What is roughly the cost of the getting a new key FOB and reprogramming it?

get the keyfob from ebay, i paid 18 bucks for it, instead of 100 from the dealership, and programmed it myself.

Wish I would have done this. Total cost for me was a little over $200

 

I bought one for eBay. Can't remember the seller. Keyless something. Exact match and easy programming. Generally I'm not one for eBay stuff and prefer oem but in this case it seemed worth the risk.

 

as everyone else said hit up ebay. Now if you need a key, go to a locksmith. I had then program and cut my key. I had a key for 2.5 yrs and found someone to cut it for 65 or so billz

 

Do you need to order one of those programable keys from ebay and can any locksmith do the programming?

I ordered this cause I needed a spare key fob and it came with easy instructions on how to reprogram.


I am still looking for a cheap alternative to getting a 2nd key without going through the dealer.
