Hey everyone on driver!
This is just a cool mod that i do mainly during the summer time when it's dry outside.
Pros:
makes your car sound like it has an after market exhaust
Cons: you lose back pressure meaning your gonna lose torque and hp, so this is just a for show mod
also, do not drive with the mod in the wet, it will rust your exhaust faster than normal

I wouldn't call an exhaust leak a mod.

This is.......some funny stuff! When I suggested you post your vids on DRIVER I should have asked the subjects. Leaving gaps between the flangs has been done for a 100 years, only difference is we added washers between so the bolts were secure and it still sounded like ****....nothing changes. Next vid Spoiled, do a clutch install or projector headlight mod....something worth while!

Good intentions but I'd never want to lose power for sound. The exhaust does become louder, but has no "substance" to it.

There's quite a few DIY's on installing lowering springs but I'm sure another one can help out a member or two here.

You don't need to bolt it like that...you can just take the ring out and bolt it up normal and it'll still make a louder stock sound...I accidentally did that when I swapped mufflers....I think the stock exhaust with hfc is loud enough though.

 

You know, something fell off your car when you started it up after the "mod". Yeah, I'm not doing this, but hey, it's a cheap mod for someone who likes it!

 

No you should keep with the nice DIY videos and just cut the springs, way cheaper. oooh or maybe some neon underglow... or flamethrower in the exhaust...

 

You don't lose backpressure doing this...you're using OE-spec diameter piping, and making a gap that allows exhaust gases to escape faster.

If putting a spacer between the muffler and the B-pipe caused you to lose horsepower and torque, that would mean all of the straight-through glasspack exhausts available for the G are worthless.

I tried this one time just for the hell of it. It was going to be my "temporary" noise box until I got an aftermarket exhaust. It lasted a whopping 24 hours before I got sick of the noise.
