taking care of my OB G35 Coupe!

What's going on guys. I've had my 05 G35 for about 4 months now and I was wondering which brand of wax is longer lasting. I don't want to go for the expensive ones but rather the otc ones like Meguiars or Turtle Wax. Thanks!

If you want the longest lasting or best looking go with Wolf's Chemical Hard Body or Optimum Opti-coat 2.0. Opti-coat is permanent so you'll never have to use wax again.

All OTC waxes will only get you about 2-3 months. I would recommend Wolf's Body Wrap or Menzerna Powerlock if you're looking to get 5-6 months.

Black box works great but doesn't last long.

If you want long lasting you really need to go with a sealant. I use Blackfire Polymer Sealant and Blackfire Quick Detailer. Wolfgangs, Menzerna are also good. It's time to start reading the detailing forums. No matter what you use Wax or Sealant the key to a perfect shine is proper paint preparation. The paint needs to be polished and any defects removed with a random orbital buffer prior to the application of your final product (wax/sealant). Maintaining an OB coupe requires alot of work.

Long lasting? No wax or sealent will last long unless you have a garage or use a car cover....truth! One of the best car care systems comes for www.griotsgarage.com. Everything you need to maintain a great finish on your G, buffer/cleaner/wax/clay along with a vid explaining the hows/whens of detailing....you'll never need anything else!

Griot's has great stuff. Lots of people have also had good results with Zaino.

To my knowledge there aren't any that last particularly longer than others. I'd recommend waxing every few months!
