one more question, my drivers side, side-view mirror is like a matte black whereas the passenger side is the glossy finish. any know how i can get the driver side back to the glossy finish?

take it out and get repaint. or u can try 3m compund.

I use Meguiar's as well, but there are many good waxes out there... An important thing to consider before you wax is paint prep... I would definitely start with a good clay kit and follow with some compound to minimize scratches, holograms, and marring (common and painfully obvious with black). You can get Mother's or Meguiars clay kits from Wal-Mart for under $20. When you rub your hand over the surface, it should be smooth as glass, if you feel bumps then the wax is not as effective because the surface is not clean.

Also check out Autopia.org. That's where I learned everthing about car detailing. Excellent resource where you can learn from pros and detail enthusiasts as well...
