TPMS WTF? Need a recommendation...

so one of my TPMS batteries went out, and to replace ONE (cuz you can't switch a battery in them) is $150?

WTF?

So i know we have trusty Infiniti dealers who help us out on pricing for accessories and anything else Infiniti, who is our latest and greatest hook up? Ideally in SoCal.

thanks!

Find out the parts # and order 1 off ebay or amazon. I ordered a full set of 4 BRAND NEW for $160 when I picked up aftermarket wheels for my 1st coupe a couple yrs ago off of Ebay. They shld have them new and used. Also, I think they sell REBUILD kits for TPMS units.

buy a used one, go to discount tire or americas tire and ask if they can install it for you, shouldnt be too much. then go to nissan or infiniti and ask if they can program it for you.

or you can go to Firestone to buy and install one aftermarket tpms - reasonable total cost.

When did you go? The locations received the equipment and training within the past 3 or 4 months. I bought a used sensor and they installed and registered it for me.

I have an extra one. PM if you want it. You can use these instructions to reprogram if you have a G35 Coupe and you are feeling adventurous.

On a somewhat related note. I recently purchased some Axis wheels that had tpms off of a person that had them on a 350Z. I had new tires mounted at Discount Tires and they said they can reprogram the TPMS for free once I get them installed on my car.

I finally installed the rims couple of weeks later and fully expected the TPMS light to go off as I've read in multiple thread...but no lights so far. It has been a few days now and I've driven at speed...so my car can recognize the tpms in my oem Rays and the tpms in the Axis? I read somewhere that the car can only learn/store 1 set of tpms but it appears this may not be entirely true.
