what is Xenon control unit?
Some call it the Ballast
it's at the bottom of the lamp, halogens wouldn't have this for the 2003 before Xenon was standard but the Projector Light RH and LH kit wouldn't have it

I've been waxing my headlights anytime I see the slightest bit of haze forming, and they still look almost like new after 9 years of ownership in Florida sun.

900 dollars for the OEM headlights, thats nuts. I don't know why companies keep making those ugly *** Halo projectors that are all busy. Seriously, if they made just normal OEM looking projectors, those would sell like hot cakes.

looks like this is one of the few car parts that's actually going to appreciate in value next few coming years.

I agree with this completely. Who knows- with the price of OEM headlights going through the roof like it is, hopefully an aftermarket company can see this as an opportunity to make a normal looking projector set as an alternative and cash in. I would love to grab some OEM projectors, but it won't be in the budget until next year realistically.

People don't just want the newer headlights because of haze issues, they want them because they have projectors and not reflectors. My headlights don't have haze either, but projector is simply better than reflector.

26010-CM40C - $857.80 List ($685.00 G35driver discount)
26060-CM40C - $857.80 List ($685.00 G35driver discount)
so it's 500-600$ for the set minus the Xenon control units with the projector kit
or both headlights with Xenon control units for $1370.00
if you needed the Xenon control units
Projector Light Kit - $500
Control Units - 28474-8992A Qty 2 - $482.42 list ($385 G35driver discount)
I was suprised to see the Projector Light Kit discontinued
Phil-what all is in the 685 price? I ask because i see underneath that it says projector kit 500$, so does that mean they aren't the projector headlights? or that they need something added on?

i have the 06 on my 04, my high beams and low beams are the same bulb, and my fog light is in the bottom slot, is that normal lol? i got the car this way, never noticed that until i changed the bulbs for inspection. i might get aftermarkets so i can take my 06's off for the winter, but im not sure if they will work because they have high and low beams separately.

If you are looking to change you headlights just because they become yellow, just buy a mothers restoration kit, it works, when I got my car both headlight were yellow as hell, spend couple hours with that kit and it's like brad new now.
