non RevUp DEs don't get much from headers w/o cams

Thanks sd, totally not looking for power gains. Just a peace of mind having a complete new exhaust with a lill deeper tone from factory would do it for me..

Running headers w/o cams on a nonRevUp DE, you will loose a lot of low-end response for a close to negligible gain up top

Correct. However, a good dyno tune after that would realize substantial gains. But most deem it not worth it to upgrade headers due to total cost.

no amount of tuning will get the low-end back, you NEED cams on a nonRevUp DE to run headers

OK. I believe most cams will weaken the low end power even more.

What do you mean which is it? Most cams are geared for top end power. Cams and headers work together (so to say). You will lose low end power with either or both.

SDG gave me the impression that cams will improve the low end given that I already have headers

Im not getting extremely aggressive cams...they are one step further than s2s I think. I will need to get new springs for them.

I might end up getting S2s if I can find some for a good price, but I would prefer C2s

I've never heard of cams giving back low-end power, but I don't have a non-rev, or cams.

jninja26 stop posting what you "believe." not all cams are the same, there are different profiles for different purposes. just like how MD has 5/16 and 1/2 spacers for different needs to break it down. yes, "hardcore" cams will shift the band up because that's where you race at, in the top-end. mild street cams are for street cars but people get caught up in peak gains and buy cams that don't fit their build.

Whyd you go with the S2 SDG? vs. c2?

c2 is better for extreme NA or mild FI
